Installing Anydesk

Installing & Configuring AnyDesk on macOS

Applies to: macOS Monterey, Ventura, Sonoma, Sequoia and newer

Overview

Apple Domination Consulting uses AnyDesk to securely access your Mac when remote assistance is required.

The setup process only needs to be completed once. After that, future support sessions can be started within seconds.

Step 1 – Download AnyDesk

  1. Open your preferred web browser.
  2. Visit:

https://anydesk.com/downloads/mac-os

  1. Download the latest macOS version.

Step 2 – Install AnyDesk

  1. Open the downloaded AnyDesk.dmg file.
  2. Drag the AnyDesk application into your Applications folder.
  3. Open Applications and launch AnyDesk.

If macOS asks whether you're sure you want to open it, click Open.

Step 3 – Grant Required Permissions

macOS requires several permissions before remote support will work correctly.

If these permissions are not enabled, we may be able to connect but won't be able to control your Mac.

1. Accessibility

Allows keyboard and mouse control.

When prompted:

System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility

Enable:

✔ AnyDesk

If prompted, unlock the settings using your Mac password or Touch ID.

2. Screen Recording

Allows us to view your screen.

Open:

System Settings → Privacy & Security → Screen & System Audio Recording
(or Screen Recording on older macOS versions)

Enable:

✔ AnyDesk

You may be prompted to quit and reopen AnyDesk.

This permission isn't always required but allows us to assist with a wider range of troubleshooting tasks.

Navigate to:

System Settings → Privacy & Security → Full Disk Access

Enable:

✔ AnyDesk

Step 4 – Restart AnyDesk

Once all permissions have been enabled:

  1. Quit AnyDesk completely.
  2. Reopen the application.

This allows macOS to apply the new permissions.

Step 5 – Send Your AnyDesk Address

Once AnyDesk has opened, you'll see your unique AnyDesk Address (or Alias).

It looks similar to:

123 456 789

or

Karen-MacBook

Simply send this address to Apple Domination Consulting when requesting remote support.

You're Ready!

Your Mac is now configured for secure remote support.

Future support sessions will typically only require you to:

  • Open AnyDesk
  • Share your AnyDesk Address (if requested)
  • Accept the incoming connection
